The 0ccult Whining Sluts live in Belgium. Here we have the PAL standard. But a whole bunch of other countries have the NTSC standard. If you live in one of those countries and you want to order a video, it has to be converted. Unfortunatly standard conversion normally jerks with the frames, which makes it very difficult to convert video's who are using extreme frame by frame techniques. The only possibility to convert those is by speeding them up. I have to search this out by doing a few (time-taking) preview renders. The result is then a NTSC DV .avi-file.
The next problem is that I do not have an NTSC writing device for videotape (and not a DVD-writer at all). So if you want an NTSC version, I have to send you several CDr's with a NTSC DV .avi-file compressed by RAR, which you have to extract to your harddisk and put it on tape (or DVD) yourself(, or view it on computerscreen:(. Ofcourse this is only possible when you have a newer computer system (with a video output). Normally a Pentium II 350Mhz should be around the minimum required, I don't know how it is with macintosh. If you use a macintosh, be sure to let me know because RAR is not a very well known compression on the mac, then I'll use Stuffit or any other program you prefer which is compatible with PC & Mac.
Also, if you live in an NTSC country and you want to order a video which is not available in NTSC, you can ask me to send the PAL format on CD for playback on your computer. There is also a big chance that I take your order as a good time to make an NTSC conversion.
Another standard is SECAM. SECAM is the same as PAL except for the colors. Playing a Pal on SECAM equipment gives a Black&White picture. I do not have any equipment to convert to SECAM. I'm still looking for a solution. Mail me if you know a solution. If you have SECAM it seems best to me to send you the PAL version on CDr's.
